The engineering behind the window
True color, flicker-free output, real window-style diffusion and gear built to work. See what is inside a LEDWindow and why each choice was made.
CRI 98 Full Spectrum
The sun is 100. LEDWindow is 98.
CRI is the color-fidelity score of a light, with the sun as the reference. The closer to 100, the more skin, clothing and set look the way they really are.

Didactic representation of test colors; not a laboratory measurement.
The sun scores 100 on the Color Rendering Index. A typical market LED sits at 70 or below, and whatever spectrum is missing shows up in the file: green, magenta or purple skin, makeup that shifts tone, clothes in the wrong color.
LEDWindow uses Full Spectrum LEDs at CRI 98, locked at 4000K all year. The gain is practical: the color you see in the studio is the color that reaches the file, and you spend less time correcting every frame.
True skin tones
Skin tones reach the file without a green, magenta or purple cast.
Clothing, set and makeup
Dresses, backdrops and makeup show their real color, with nothing to fix afterward.
Less editing time
Same color and white balance across the whole session, so batch editing in RAW moves fast and the day pays off.
The same color, always
4000K locked, at 9 a.m. or 9 p.m., in summer or winter. Your portfolio keeps one consistent color standard.
Zero flicker
No dark bands, whatever the shutter
Light on alternating current flickers in a way your eye can't see and your camera sensor can. LEDWindow runs on direct current and delivers steady light, for stills and for video.
Alternating current reverses direction 60 times a second on a 60 Hz grid, and at each reversal power drops to zero for a fraction of a second. The sensor reads the image line by line, and the line read at that instant records no light: a dark band appears.
LEDWindow converts 110V or 220V mains into stabilized 12V DC. The flow is constant and power never hits zero, so there is no unlit line for the sensor to record.
Free shutter
Pick the speed the scene calls for, with no need to stick to multiples of the grid frequency.
Video without bands
Continuous scenes, no dark bars rolling across the frame, from first frame to last.
Camera or phone
Camera sensor or phone sensor: neither finds a moment without light.

Real window light
Soft as the sky
The LEDs are spread across an area the size of a real window. Between the reflector and the curtain sits a mixing chamber of about 20 cm (8 in), where light spreads out and exits even, with no hard spots.
- 01Reflector with LED strips
A silver, high-reflectance, flame-retardant reflector stretched smooth at the back, with the Full Spectrum CRI 98 LED strips bonded right onto it: a window-sized area at 4000K on direct current.
- 02Mixing chamber
A gap of about 20 cm (8 in) where light blends and expands. The hard spot disappears.
- 03Satin curtain
Inner layer of the double curtain. It diffuses the output and softens the light; you set the brightness on the cabinet dimmer.
- 04Voile curtain
Outer layer, the thinnest fabric. It delivers the soft, even distribution of a real window.
Cool light
Cool light, comfortable sessions
No radiant heat from the front, so you can touch the canvas. Comfort for client and baby, with quiet operation: 34 to 38 dB at 30 cm (1 ft), a low, steady sound.
- No radiant heat from the front: touch the canvas freely.
- Thermal comfort for the client and the baby.
- Low, steady sound, 34 to 38 dB at 30 cm.

Engineering
Built for long hours of work
Quality and safety come first in everything at LEDWindow. Every component is chosen for gear that handles temperature swings and long runs of continuous operation, day after day, session after session.
High-amperage connectors
Built to ensure safety against heating and poor contact. Power reaches the LEDs in full, from the cabinet to the canvas.
Fuses and active protection
Internal fuses and active overheat protection: layers of safeguards that work the whole time.
Flame-retardant reflector
The rear reflector is flame-retardant and highly reflective: safety and light output in one part.
A frame that sheds heat
The industrial metal frame acts as a passive heat sink and spreads heat through the structure itself.
Built for long days
Designed for long hours of work and temperature swings, from a closed studio to a session at a client's home.
2-year warranty
Full 2-year warranty, service shipping included, and affordable spare parts with no profit on maintenance.
Assembly
Set up, switch on, shoot
Every model comes with an illustrated step-by-step manual, and the kit includes gloves. If a question comes up, the team walks you through it on WhatsApp, video call included.
