Chapter 01
What he couldn't ignore
Ten years ago, a trend was spreading through photography groups: photographers building their own LED windows. The wish for window light at any hour was fair. Still, something about it kept nagging at Glauber Serantoni, who was already in love with photography and followed it closely.
What troubled him was the practice, never the photographers. Handmade LED windows gave light without the quality the work deserves, were heavy, and often carried electrical wiring done without proper technical knowledge, close to newborns, expectant mothers and children. An unnecessary risk for clients and studios.
The photographers were doing their best with what they had. What they lacked was a product worthy of them. Glauber went to the drawing board. The first versions came out heavy and clumsy, far from what he had in mind, and logistics were still unsolved: a structure solid and robust, yet able to travel to the client's home.
